The Process

How A Session Works

No mystery, no runaround — four steps from raw stems to a finished master.

1

Send Your Stems

Upload uncompressed WAV stems through the booking form, along with any reference tracks that capture the sound you're going for.

2

Mix & Master Pass

Balance, EQ, compression, and a master built to modern streaming loudness targets — tuned for hip-hop and R&B, but not limited to it.

3

Revisions

Listen back and send notes. Adjustments are part of the process, not an upcharge surprise.

4

Final Delivery

Streaming-ready masters and stems delivered in the formats you need, ready to distribute.

Why Jelrico

An Engineer Who Also Ships Music

Most engineers can tell you what a good mix sounds like. Fewer have released four studio albums and a growing catalog of singles under their own name, played live shows across North Carolina and beyond, and built a home studio from the ground up to do it. That's the difference here — every mixing and mastering decision is made by someone who also has to live with the final product as an artist, not just deliver a file and move on.

As founder of Jelrico Music & Entertainment LLC (JME Records) and an MBA candidate concentrated in Music Business, the goal on every project is the same one applied to my own releases: a mix that holds up on a phone speaker, a car system, and a club sound system alike.

Questions

Mixing & Mastering FAQ

How much does mixing and mastering cost?

Pricing depends on track count, stem count, and turnaround — send a project brief through the form below and you'll get a quote back directly.

How long does mixing and mastering take?

Most singles turn around within a few days of receiving final stems. Full projects and EPs take longer — exact timelines are confirmed once the brief comes in.

Do I need to be in Winston-Salem to work with you?

No. Sessions and mix/master work are handled remotely for most clients — stems in, masters out. Being Winston-Salem based just means local in-person sessions are also an option.

What file formats do you need?

Uncompressed WAV stems at your session's native sample rate, unmastered, with effects bounced in unless otherwise discussed. For mastering-only, send a final stereo mix at the highest quality available.

Do you master for Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms?

Yes — masters are checked against modern streaming loudness targets so tracks translate consistently across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other platforms.
